Of course, we should also know that Monstermax is no ordinary monster truck. Its latest version is an eight-wheeler, twin-axle and fitted with giant 36-inch high tyres. It was this set of tires that helped her successfully float in the waters near the Atlantic Ocean in Florida, between Longboat Key and Bradenton Beach.

Of course, WhistlinDiesel recorded the entire process of performing the stunt, from the moment the team took the Monstermax out of the trailer and installed the giant tires to the start of the “launch”. In the process, they encountered a bit of a problem when a police officer said they were not allowed to park their cars at the boat dock. Detwiler replied that the truck was a “genuine vessel” because it had a boat number, road registration and life jacket, and they would take it fishing.

It all happened before the police and the coast guard had a chance to stop it. Detwiler drove the truck into the water, with a helicopter and a drone in the sky to capture the footage, and a boat next to it in case it needed to be towed back.
