Liverpool has recently launched a special collection in honor of basketball legend LeBron James, following his impressive feat of becoming the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. The collection had been teased by both James and the Premier League giants, but it was officially released just 24 hours after the Lakers star surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s longstanding record. James has been a minority owner of Liverpool since 2011, when he purchased a two percent stake in the club for £4.7 million with business partner Maverick Carter. In March 2021, the four-time NBA champion converted his stake in Liverpool to a one percent share in FSG’s global empire following the club’s 2019 Champions League triumph and Premier League title win a year later. Liverpool’s owners put the club up for sale for £2.7 billion last November, although they have reportedly not received any offers yet.

Liverpool has recently introduced a one-of-a-kind LeBron James collection to celebrate his historic achievement of becoming the NBA’s top scorer of all time.

Liverpool has unveiled its new collection, LFC X LeBron, which includes both fashion and footwear ranges. The collection celebrates the shared values and illustrious histories of two global sporting icons, Liverpool FC and LeBron James. The collection features a variety of vests, shorts, jumpers, shoes, hoodies, and t-shirts modelled by Liverpool players like Jordan Henderson, Alisson, Andy Robertson, and Fabio Carvalho. James is seen wearing a black jersey with red pin stripes and his logo in the centre. The collection also features Liverpool and Nike logos, and the design includes the letters YNWA (You’ll Never Walk Alone). Liverpool chairman Tom Werner had announced back in November 2021 that the club would release seven or eight items of sportswear with James, aiming to rival the connection that Michael Jordan has with Nike. Forbes named James as the first active NBA player to become a billionaire in June 2022, thanks to his stake in FSG worth £74m.

Alisson was spotted sporting the unique LFC x LeBron collection, wearing a specially designed basketball jersey.

In 2011, James was spotted at Anfield after purchasing a share in the Premier League team.
