Selena Gomez has mysteriously unfollowed her best friend Theresa Marie on Instagram. 

An eagle-eyed fan took to Twitter as they pointed out that Theresa was missing from the singer’s followers, however she still follows the hitmaker. 

Selena last featured on Theresa’s social media on March 10 as the pair beamed in snaps together while at a birthday party alongside their other pal Anna Collins.

Cosied up together in the selection of photos the three women laughed together before Theresa captioned the post with a simple heart emoji. 

Meanwhile Theresa is still also followed by the star’s fiancé Benny Blanco. 

The pair were seemingly spotted by fans out for dinner together after a fan took to TikTok with the footage.

Taking to the comments fans speculated over the motive behind their meeting with some fearing relationship troubles for the pair. 

However others suggested perhaps the two were planning something for Selena and their meeting was innocent.

Back in 2019 Selena took to Instagram to dedicate a post to Theresa as she revealed the pair met while working together and went on to become best friends. 

Posting a sweet black and white snap of the pair she penned: ‘I met Theresa 5 years ago. We worked together and became best friends. 

‘She has taught me how to see life in a fun, carefree and uplifting way. She has shown me how to be a strong and fearless woman. 

‘She is beautiful, kind and smart. I saw how capable she was of achieving her dreams. I wanted nothing more than to see her pursue them and soar.

‘And here you are making it happen T. I love you and I am so proud of you.’

It comes after Selena admitted she felt ‘alone’ and ‘didn’t like anyone’ for five years after her relationship with ex Justin Bieber ended.

The singer and Justin, 31, dated on/off for nearly a decade before officially splitting in 2018.

Two months after the former couple split, Justin and wife Hailey, who’d had a previous fling in 2016, rekindled their flame in mid-2018 and married later that year. Both Justin and Hailey have denied any overlap in their relationships.

While Justin moved on months later, Selena said she felt very ‘alone’ in the aftermath of their breakup before finally meeting her fiancé Benny.

Selena made the rare admission as she discussed her and Benny’s ’embarrassing’ first kiss on the latest episode on Jessie and Lennie Ware’s Table Manners podcast.

Benny said: ‘Towards the end of the date, we were just sitting in the living room on the couch, and we were playing, “We’re not really Strangers”.

‘And there was a thing where it said, take a selfie with the person next to you, and she got right on my chest and took a selfie. 

‘And then right after, I just looked at her, and I said, I gotta kiss this girl. And I kissed her right away.
