Keanu Reeves has starred in quite a few well-known projects throughout his career. None, however, have stuck out as much as the John Wick franchise. Becoming one of the most iconic action movies. In recent years, the series has led to multiple of spinoff projects that fans are excited to see. John Wick 4, the most recent addition to the series, ended in a way that left many fans with their jaws on the floor. Reeves, who was responsible for kickstarting the magnificent franchise, was forced to walk away from the character, after being killed off.

The departure has left The Matrix actor without an action franchise yet again. Considering just how good Reeves is in this genre, it is only natural for fans to expect him to star in something new sooner or later. While many would hope for it to be John Wick 5, there may be a better action franchise that would be perfect for the actor.

John Wick 5 May Not Be What Keanu Reeves Needs

On paper, many fans of John Wick would want nothing more than for there to be another addition to his story in the form of John Wick 5. However, it is safe to say that this is not exactly what this franchise needs. In the past Chad Stahelski, the director of all four films, has been very vocal about how no fate, other than death made sense for his character. He believes that his death at the end of the fourth film, was inevitable, not being able to think of any other destiny for him.

While it can be expected, that John Wick could perhaps make his way into the franchise again, through flashbacks or prequel stories, it might just be that. The likeliness of a fifth movie centered around Keanu Reaves’ character seems highly unlikely. However, there is good news for fans of the actor, as there may be another action series that is perfect for him.

A Better Action Series Than John Wick For Keanu Reeves?

It is a well-known fact that Keanu Reeves shines his brightest when he is beating people up as a profession. From John Wick to The Matrix, Speed, and even Constantine, the actor’s specialties lie in the genre of action. Since his time as John Wick has come to an end, there may be a perfect series waiting for him right around the corner. The upcoming film, Rainbow Six, could be exactly what the actor needs.

The live-action adaptation of the iconic game, Ghost of Tsushima, based on books by Tom Clancy, is said to star, Michael B Jordan, and involves Chad Stahelski as director. Considering the fact that the director of John Wick is an integral part of this project, and Reeves is very close with him, this would be the perfect project for him to join and get back into the world of action. The actor could easily play the role of one of the highly skilled mercenaries part of the series. On top of this, the idea of Reeves and Jordan sharing the screen is certainly extremely appealing for fans.
