However, in recent sequels many cast members have stopped appearing, one of those names is Dwayne Johnson who has been an essential part of the series. Sadly, he hasn’t appeared in the series since Fast and Furious 8, and fans have been pleading the former WWE champion to return to the franchise.

Can Fans Expect Dwayne Johnson to Return?

Dwayne Johnson who has been a part of the Fast and Furious series since the Fast Five, left abruptly when he had issues with Vin Diesel. However, it is reported that he is in talks and is negotiating his new terms to make a shocking return in the upcoming Fast and Furious movie. Dwayne Johnson was last seen in the eighth installment of the series, and he has even been part of Hobbs and Shaw, a spin-off movie of the Fast and Furious universe.

Hobbs and Shaw was a successful movie, that featured big names such as Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, and Roman Reigns. It is also reported that a sequel is under work, hence it is quite possible that we can see Luke Hobbs one more time.

Fans Pleading Dwayne Johnson to Return

The fans of the Fast and Furious series would agree that the series has been uplifted by Dwayne Johnson’s addition to the series in Fast Five. Sadly after the controversy with Vin Diesel, he stopped being part of the series which has immensely affected the popularity of the Fast and Furious series, and fans have gone to Twitter to request their favorite character from the series to return to the series that showcases the importance of family.

Another fan wants Luke Hobbs to return and he should make sure to bring the cavalry with him.

Many fans believe that Fast X will be the finale of the series and they want all the cast members to be a part of this series. Moreover, every fan believes that Luke Hobbs is one of the main reasons that the series did so well.

Why did Dwayne Johnson Leave the Fast and Furious Series?

The feud between Dwayne Johnson and his co-stars began on August 2016, when he commented on the lack of professionalism and called them “chicken sh*t” and “candy a**es.” The feud escalated as Vin Diesel made posts on social media that couldn’t be ignored. In June 2021, Vin Diesel clarified the reason for their rivalry in an interview with Men’s Health. Here’s what Vin Diesel said:

“It was a tough character to embody, the Hobbs character. My approach at the time was a lot of tough love to assist in getting that performance to where it needed to be.”

A month later, Dwayne Johnson decided to leave the franchise as he said the following to The Hollywood Reporter:

“I laughed and I laughed hard. I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I’ll leave it at that. And that I’ve wished them well. I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me.”

It is clear that Vin Diesel has grandiose narcissistic tendencies, which made Dwayne Johnson extremely annoyed. And it is clear that he is having none of it, and it will be a sad sight to watch if Dwayne Johnson doesn’t return for the final saga of their journey.
