John Wick director is keen on having a Marvel star join John Wick 5, and has curated a list of his own

John Wick made its way into the world of Cinema with the first film in 2014 and since then, the franchise has spawned three more films, all of which have seen many positive reviews and Box Office success. Starring Keanu Reeves, the franchise has seen Reeves, a former hitman, get dragged into the underworld again, leaving many bodies in every movie.

John Wick 4 was the last film released in the franchise, released earlier this year. Throughout the franchise, various guests have made their appearances in each movie, whether it’s Halle Berry, Jason Statham, or Donnie Yen, and their appearances in the highly acclaimed franchise. In a new interview with The Direct, John Wick director Chad Stahelski talked about actors he wants to bring in for John Wick 5. In fact, fans might get to see any one of the following 7 Marvel stars fight with Keanu Reeves in the upcoming film.

Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron as Clea

Charlize Theron is one of the most well-known actresses in all of Hollywood, who also has ties with Marvel as she portrayed the role of Clea in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. She even trained with Keanu Reeves for Atomic Blonde. Chad Stahelski made it clear he would love to have her in the movie, as he stated, ”When she did Atomic Blonde.’ I saw that and went, ‘Oh my God, I gotta work with this woman.’ She’s awesome.”

Michelle Yeoh in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Michelle Yeoh saw a career resurgence thanks to Everything Everywhere All at Once, so her acting chops can never be in doubt. She portrayed Aleta Ogord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. She also played Ying Nan in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Chad Stahelski was very excited at the prospect of working with Yeoh, as he said, “I worked with Michelle Yeoh way back on a commercial years ago, and I’ve been dying to work with her ever since. I’m such a huge fan.”

Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr. needs no introduction as he literally made the Marvel Cinematic Universe what it is right now, as his portrayal of Iron Man opened the door for the entire universe to grow and prosper. His impeccable comedic timing and quick wit would fit well in the John Wick universe. Chad Stahelski also expressed an interest in having Downey Jr. work with him, as he said, ”If Robert Downey happened to sit in my chair right here, I’d figure that one out.”

Sylvester Stallone

Sylvester Stallone is one of the biggest stars in the history of Hollywood, whose star power would significantly help out any film he is a part of. In case you didn’t know, he portrayed Stakar Ogord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. There is no doubt he would be a great fit in the John Wick universe, as Chad Stahelski feels the same.

Christian Bale

Christian Bale has had the best of both worlds as far as comic book movies are concerned. After all, he has portrayed Batman in the Christopher Nolan trilogy. On the Marvel side of things, he portrayed Gorr in Thor: Love and Thunder, one of the only bright points in the movie. Chad Stahelski has named Bale as a dream casting choice for John Wick 5 as well.

Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth is one of the biggest actors in the world right now, both figuratively and literally, as he made a name for himself as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is used to action movies that take place in noir settings as well, as his Extraction films have proven to be successful. Fans would definitely love to see Hemsworth in John Wick in a role.

Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman established himself as Wolverine in the X-Men films over the years, with his last being 2017’s Logan. That will change as he will be part of Deadpool 3 next year as well. He already has a lot of action movies and serious roles under his belt, so a foray into the John Wick universe would work well for him.

John Wick 5 is still in the developmental stages and it will take a long time for it to release. Regardless, we will have to wait and see if either of the abovementioned stars will make their way into the movie somehow.
