Following her MCU debut in the Disney+ series WandaVision, Kathryn Hahn is set to return in her solo series Agatha: Darkhold Diaries. The spin-off series following Agatha Harkness is expected to be a dark comedy. It is expected to bring back multiple characters from the 2021 show, one of which is also believed to be Ralph Bohner, portrayed by Evan Peters. The character has been the subject of many discussions, particularly due to his role in Fox’s X-Men movies, where he plays Peter Maximoff, aka Quicksilver.

Despite initial speculation about the multiverse, the WandaVision storyline surrounding Peters’ character left fans both intrigued and frustrated. Recent claims, fueled by the release of two deleted scenes from the show, suggest Evan Peters could return to the MCU in the spin-off series.

The upcoming Marvel series, starring Kathryn Hahn in the lead role, will follow Agatha on a quest to regain her powers after she finds herself powerless following her break out from containment in Westview. The show is expected to bring back multiple characters from WandaVision, including the one that is still one of the many discussed topics among MCU fans, Evan Peters’ Ralph Bohner.

According to a new scoop from Scarlet Witch Updates, the character is expected to return to the WandaVision spin-off with a traumatizing twist. “A very traumatized Ralph Bohner will return in ‘AGATHA: DARKHOLD DIARIES,’” Scarlet Witch Updates shared in a tweet.

While nothing is certain as of now, the trauma for the character could suggest that his experience in Westview will play a central role in the narrative, along with a more profound understanding of his character’s journey. Apart from the Kathryn Hahn starrer, Peters is also expected to reprise his role as Quicksilver in the upcoming MCU film Deadpool 3.

The Puzzling Case of Ralph Bohner in the MCU
WandaVision creator Jac Schaeffer has shared that Evan Peters was cast as a “meta-layer” for the audience, as he is well-known for his role in the X-Men movies. And his appearance in the show added an extra dimension for viewers, leading to specualtions about Marvel’s attempts at introducing X-Men into the MCU.
However, a recently revealed deleted scene from WandaVision titled “Ankle Bracelet” somehow confirms a long-discussed theory among fans. Evan Peters’ character was actually the missing witness Jimmy Woo had been looking for. The deleted scene features Peters’ character cutting off his ankle monitor and running off while Woo deals with the aftermath of Wanda’s hex on Westview.
Ralph Bohner
Although he has been identified as Ralph Bohner, it is suspected that this name was likely a pseudonym used to conceal his true identity, given Jimmy Woo never explicitly names the missing witness, and Peters’ reaction to the name when Monica asks him if he is Ralph Bohner.

Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is expected to premiere on Disney+ in late 2024.
